What To Expect During Newbury’s Biggest Ever Weekend Of Music

Björn Again and Clean Bandit take centre stage live after racing this weekend as Visit Malta Hungerford Day arrives

Friday 15th August – Summer August Raceday with Björn Again
Newbury’s third Party in the Paddock music raceday of 2025 arrives on Friday, featuring a full afternoon of racing followed by a live performance from Björn Again, bringing ABBA’s greatest hits to life.

The day features six exciting races, with the highlight being the St Hugh’s Stakes, sponsored by Sequoia Hair & Beauty. This Listed race is open to two-year-old fillies and run over five furlongs.

We’re also proud to welcome TPT Fire Maintenance, who will be hosting guests from St Michael’s Hospice in recognition of their incredible work and dedication.

Expect a vibrant atmosphere both on and off the track, with Björn Again taking to the stage at 6:45pm to close out the day in style.

Saturday 16th August – Visit Malta Hungerford Day with Clean Bandit

Saturday brings the much-anticipated Visit Malta Hungerford Day with Clean Bandit, who will perform live after racing at 6:15pm.

The day’s racing features the Group 2 Visit Malta Hungerford Stakes, run over seven furlongs with an increased prize pot of £150,000.

One lucky racegoer in attendance will also win a dream holiday to Malta, with the winner announced at around 5pm – just one of many reasons not to miss this unforgettable day.

With seven thrilling races, sunshine forecast, and Clean Bandit closing the weekend, Saturday promises to be a great summer celebration.

Off Track Entertainment:
The Hits Radio Party Tent gets the party started with a live DJ throughout the afternoon and glitter face painting to get you party-ready across both Friday and Saturday.

Former jockey David Crosse will be taking racegoers on Trips to the Start, offering a close-up view of the horses and sharing insider insights. Parade Ring tours and Jockey talks will also be taking place across both days.

Roaming bands will keep the energy high around the Racecourse, setting the vibe before the main acts take to the stage after racing.

High Water and Wild Idol will be sampling their impressive product ranges across the Racecourse on both days, offering racegoers a taste of their premium selections.

The Racecourse’s Quiet Zone is located behind the Parade Ring, providing a peaceful space for those looking for a moment away from the action.

Newbury’s official timepiece partner – Christophe DuChamp – will be in attendance on Saturday within the Dubai Duty Free Grandstand Enclosure, showcasing their premium collection of watches and offering up to an 85% discount on purchases made on the day.

Racegoers can try their luck on Spin the Wheel on both Friday and Saturday. Friday’s participants will have the chance to win tickets to a selection of upcoming fixtures, while Saturday’s spinners will be entered into Visit Malta’s competition to win an all-inclusive holiday, alongside other exciting prizes.
