FAQs

Yes, the Racecourse is fully accessible.

The Racecourse offers accessible tickets to all of its racedays which entitle a complimentary ticket for a personal assistant.

Yes, accessible toilets are available in all of the Racecourse’s buildings and stands which can be accessed via a radar key.

These radar keys can be collected from the reception in Berkshire Stand or from any bar or restaurant while our accessible racegoers are welcome to use their own key.

Yes, Newbury Racecourse offers dedicated accessible parking.

All of our car parks have accessible parking spaces but we’d recommend racegoers requiring accessible parking head for Car Park 4 in the first instance.

Parking in Car Park 4 is on level tarmac with drop kerbs to the entry gates. Where parking may not be available in Car Park 4 we will endeavour to find the most suitable parking space, as close to the gates as possible.

Please note that Car Park 1, which is located in the Centre of the Course, is a grass parking surface.

Accessible tickets can be purchased online (please use the ‘Concession & Accessible’ tab on the raceday you’re looking to purchase tickets for.

Accessible tickets can also be purchased over the phone on 01635 40015 and on the gate on a raceday.

However, the earlier you book an accessible ticket the better deal you’ll get.

Unfortunately, Newbury Racecourse station does not have a lift, only a pedestrian bridge.

If you are travelling eastbound you’ll need to leave the platform at the Racecourse’s station and turn left on Hambridge Road and then pass over the small railway bridge.

If you are travelling westbound you will need to take a service which stops at the main Newbury station and from there either embark an eastbound train or take a taxi.

Improved accessibility access can be found at the main Newbury station, from which taxis are available to make the short journey to the Racecourse.

The Racecourse doesn’t currently have any changing places toilets on-site.

However if you require this facility please do let us know by calling in advance and we’ll do our best to help.

Yes, mobility scooters and powered chairs are permitted on-site.

The Racecourse is equipped with induction loops at all entrances and on the ground floor of both the Berkshire and Grandstand.

Upon request, the Racecourse will take steps to provide accessible information on USB flash drives and large print.
