More Than 13,500 Fans Enjoy BetVictor Hungerford Day With Dizzee Rascal
Newbury Racecourse welcomed its biggest crowd of the year as BetVictor Hungerford Day arrived on Saturday 17th August with rising star DJ Emily Nash and Mercury Award winner Dizzee Rascal taking to the stage after racing.
More than 13,500 racing and music fans enjoyed the day’s action, the largest attendance at the Berkshire track since 2023’s BetVictor Hungerford Day with Olly Murs.
Tiber Flow stole the headlines in the day’s feature race, taking the £125,000 BetVictor Hungerford Stakes in the closest of finishes. Al Aasy impressed while sauntering to victory in the £90,000 BetVictor Geoffrey Freer Stakes as racegoers were treated to another thrilling day’s flat racing.
Shaun Hinds, Chief Executive of Newbury Racecourse commented: “Our music racedays are two of our biggest highlights each year and we’re confident all those racing and music fans who joined us this summer enjoyed two memorable days. The big action doesn’t stop at Newbury with the Dubai Duty Free International Weekend, BetVictor Flat Finale with Oktoberfest and historic Coral Gold Cup Weekend to come across autumn – we’re looking forward to more memorable moments throughout 2024.
Discounted Early Bird tickets are available for all of Newbury’s remaining racedays in 2024 – but racegoers only have until Friday 23rd August to secure the Early Bird rate for September’s Dubai Duty Free International Weekend.
