Newbury Racecourse Announces Official Banking Partnership With Arbuthnot Latham

Prestigious private and commercial bank to bring specialist expertise and exceptional raceday experiences to customers through new partnership

Newbury Racecourse is delighted to announce a new partnership with Arbuthnot Latham, who became the Official Banking Partner of the Racecourse on 1 April.

Founded in 1833, Arbuthnot Latham is one of the UK’s most established private and commercial banks, renowned for its tailored approach to banking and long-standing client relationships. This partnership marks the bank’s first formal collaboration within the horse racing industry.

As part of the agreement, Arbuthnot Latham will enjoy a prominent year-round presence across Newbury Racecourse, including branding opportunities within the racecourse, parade ring, and Owners & Trainers areas. The partnership will focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences, engaging both new and existing clients who attend racedays.

Further strengthening its commitment to the racing and equine sector, Arbuthnot Latham has recently appointed Henry Taylor as Director and Head of Racing. With more than 20 years’ experience across private and commercial banking, Henry brings deep expertise alongside a strong understanding of the racing and wider equine industries. His appointment reflects the bank’s continued investment in specialist capabilities and its ambition to support clients operating within this field.

Newbury Racecourse looks forward to working closely with Arbuthnot Latham to enhance the raceday experience and deliver long-term value for racegoers, owners, trainers, and stakeholders alike.

Henry Taylor, Director and Head of Racing at Arbuthnot Latham, commented: “We are delighted to announce our new partnership with Newbury Racecourse, an iconic track with a rich heritage. Racing is built on trust and long‑term relationships, which closely reflects how we work with our clients. We look forward to supporting the team through a relationship‑led approach and the sector expertise Arbuthnot Latham brings.”

Shaun Hinds, Chief Executive at Newbury Racecourse, commented: “Partnering with Arbuthnot Latham marks an exciting step forward for Newbury Racecourse as we continue to enhance the experience we offer to our racegoers, owners and partners.
“We are particularly pleased to support their growing commitment to the racing and equine industries, and we look forward to working closely together to deliver memorable raceday experiences and meaningful engagement for their clients throughout the year.”
