Newbury Racecourse And Visit Malta Announce Expanded Partnership For 2026

Newbury Racecourse is pleased to confirm an expanded partnership with Visit Malta – with two holidays up for grabs in 2026 courtesy of the continued affiliation

Last year’s inaugural partnership saw Visit Malta become the title sponsor of the Racecourse’s Hungerford Day, with the feature race of the day, the £150,000 Group 2 seven-furlong contest, renamed the Visit Malta Hungerford Stakes.

Following a successful first year, Visit Malta will return as title sponsor of Visit Malta Hungerford Day on Saturday 15th August and will also take the naming rights to Friday’s racing on 14th August. The two-day meeting will now be officially branded the Visit Malta Hungerford Weekend.

One lucky racegoer won a dream holiday to Malta in 2025, and to celebrate their continued association with Newbury Racecourse, Visit Malta is once again offering racegoers the chance to win big. Two lucky attendees at 2026’s Visit Malta Hungerford Weekend – one on Friday and one on Saturday – will win a dream holiday to Malta, including flights and luxury accommodation.

What’s more, both the Friday and Saturday of the Visit Malta Hungerford Weekend double up as Party in the Paddock music racedays with headline artists taking to the Racecourse’s famous stage to perform live after racing.

All ticket purchasers for 2026’s Visit Malta Hungerford Weekend will automatically be entered into the prize draw, with those attending both days securing themselves two chances to win a dream holiday.
