Newbury Racecourse’s BOYLE Sports Lockinge with Ladies Day returns on Saturday 17th May and guarantees exciting racing on track and an abundance of glamour and entertainment off it.

Racing fans will be arriving in all their finery for Newbury’s Flat season showpiece meeting, featuring the Group 1, BOYLE Sports Lockinge Stakes – a straight mile contest, open to horses aged four years and older, worth a total prize fund of £400,000.

Ladies Day is a spectacle all about style and elegance and for the fourth year running, Sequoia Hair and Beauty will be on-site at the Racecourse offering racegoers complimentary hair and beauty treatments throughout the day while the Racecourse’s style team will be on hand to award on-the-spot style awards for those racegoers looking particularly glamorous.

The day’s famed afterparty will see Lovely Laura take centre stage at the Racecourse. The Ibiza icon will be joined by DJ Ben Santiago as the dynamic duo – and their one-of-a-kind saxophone and DJ combination – round out the Racecourse’s standout flat raceday with racegoers able to dance the night away.

Away from the fashion and flair of Ladies Day, there will be plenty of entertainment for racegoers to enjoy. The Racecourse’s partnership with Greatwood Charity – who use former racehorses to educate disadvantaged children and young adults with Special Educational Needs (SEN) – will see all fans in attendance on BOYLE Sports Lockinge with Ladies Day given the opportunity to get up close with Maherlvous, a retired racehorse, and his Shetland Pony friend, Gladys.

In addition to the day’s big afterparty, live music will be available to enjoy throughout the afternoon with racing’s younger fans able to make the most of free face painting and themed entertainment while complimentary behind-the-scenes tours and jockey talks will also be available along with an expert punters’ panel for tips of the day’s racing. For those who will have one eye on the day’s football, the Emirates FA Cup final will also be broadcast around the Racecourse.
