Free Local Raceday & Craft Beer Festival Return For 2026 Dubai Duty Free Spring Trials At Newbury Racecourse

Newbury Racecourse is excited to welcome back its much-loved Craft Beer Festival as part of the 2026 Dubai Duty Free Spring Trials Weekend, along with a free raceday for local residents.

Those living in and around the Berkshire track will once again be able to enjoy a complimentary raceday on Friday 17 April 2026, the opening day of the Dubai Duty Free Spring Trials Weekend.

The offers can be enjoyed by those residing within the postcodes areas listed below, covering approximately 77,000 households.

The initiative follows a successful 2025 scheme and forms part of a broader package of local benefits including £10 tickets to five additional fixtures across the year. In addition to the free Friday fixture in April, local residents can purchase super-discounted tickets for the following 2026 racedays:

LOCAL OFFERS

The Dubai Duty Free Spring Trials Weekend, staged across Friday 17 and Saturday 18 April, kicks off a huge summer of Flat racing at Newbury.

Saturday ‘s card features three Group 3 races, including The Dubai Duty Free Finest Surprise Stakes (The John Porter Stakes), The Dubai Duty Free Stakes (The Fred Darling Stakes) and The Watership Down Stud Too Darn Hot Greenham Stakes.

The Dubai Duty Free Spring Trials fixture not only provides top-class racing but also welcomes back the Racecourse’s popular Craft Beer Festival, featuring more than 30 ales and ciders from a range of local breweries. One ticket grants access to both elements, ensuring a full day of entertainment on and off the track.

On Friday, former jockey and course expert Daryl Jacob will host complimentary parade ring tours, trips to the start and jockey talks. On Saturday, David Crosse will be on hand to provide the same experience, offering racegoers a unique behind-the-scenes insight.

As part of Newbury’s valued partnership with Greatwood, who uses former racehorses to educate disadvantaged children and young adults with Special Educational Needs (SEN), racegoers will also have the opportunity to get up close with retired racehorse Mahlervous on Saturday.

Live acoustic music will be playing throughout the two-day meeting, with a DJ performing after racing on Friday. At the conclusion of Saturday’s racing, popular party band The Shadow Monkeys will round off a memorable start to the Flat season at Newbury.
