After welcoming more than 45,000 music and racing fans to its Party in the Paddock music raceday series in 2025, Newbury Racecourse is delighted to confirm it is set to do it all again in 2026.
The Racecourse announced last week that it would host two huge weekends of music and racing next year – in partnership with Bauer Media’s leading brands, including Hits Radio & Magic – and today the first acts for the opening weekend in July have been unveiled.
Fans can look forward to GIPSY KINGS, featuring Nicolas Reyes, taking to the famous Party in the Paddock stage live after racing on IRE Incentive Raceday on Friday 17 July, before RONAN KEATING closes out the weekend in style as part of Weatherbys Super Sprint Day on Saturday 18 July.
Known for fusing traditional flamenco with Western pop and Latin rhythms, the Grammy Award-winning Gipsy Kings first captured global attention with their 1987 self-titled album – a genuine phenomenon that went gold and platinum around the world. Since then, their unmistakable sound has reached millions through hits such as Bamboléo and Volare.
Nicolas Reyes, the band’s iconic frontman and co-founder, has led the Gipsy Kings for more than three decades. Over that time, they have dominated the World Music charts, sold more than 14 million albums worldwide, and earned enduring acclaim.
Returning to Newbury for the first time since Boyzone inaugurated the Racecourse’s Party in the Paddock series as the very first headliner in 2008, Ronan Keating will perform after Saturday’s racing for what promises to be an emotionally charged, hit-packed set.
With a career spanning nearly three decades, the Boyzone legend turned solo superstar has sold over 20 million solo records and earned widespread acclaim. Fans can look forward to a set filled with favourites such as When You Say Nothing At All, Life Is a Rollercoaster, If Tomorrow Never Comes, and Lovin’ Each Day, along with many Boyzone classics.
Beyond his musical achievements, Ronan is a much-loved TV host and a dedicated charity ambassador through the Marie Keating Foundation – showing that his talent and compassion extend far beyond the stage.
Ronan Keating said: “I’m delighted to be returning to Newbury Racecourse next summer – it feels like a full circle moment as Boyzone played the first Party in the Paddock music raceday back in 2008.I have such fond memories of that show, so can’t wait to return to the Racecourse on Saturday 18th July. See you all there!”
Harry Walklin, Marketing Director for Newbury Racecourse said: “This summer has seen the Racecourse host its biggest ever summer of music and we’re delighted to announce the Gipsy Kings and Ronan Keating as our first headliners for 2026.
For the first time, we’ve got two huge weekends of music and racing to look forward to next year and the announcement of our first artists means the countdown is well and truly on.
As always, both the racing and headline live shows are included in one ticket and those fans registering for our exclusive priority sale will guarantee themselves early access and the very best deal.’’
Delivered in partnership with Bauer Media’s leading brands, including Hits Radio and Magic, the 2026 edition of the Party in the Paddock music raceday series will span two big weekends in July and August with an exciting blend of racing and live music.
Keep your eyes peeled – headline acts for the Summer August Raceday on Friday 14 August and Visit Malta Hungerford Day on Saturday 15 August will be announced in January.
