Newbury Racecourse Attendance On The Rise With A Number Of New Ticket Offers Introduced
As Newbury Racecourse look forward to the first meeting of its Flat season this weekend, the Dubai Duty Free Spring Trials Weekend, the Racecourse reflects on the conclusion of a successful National Hunt season. Attendance figures throughout the five-month season show an 18% year-on-year increase, but the Racecourse is not resting on its laurels with the introduction of a number of new ticket offers to make its racing as accessible as possible.
The most significant growth was seen on Newbury’s Grade 1 Coral Challow Hurdle Day in December with a 48% increase in attendance while March’s BetVictor Weekend Racing welcomed its biggest crowd in more than a decade. It’s not just the Racecourse’s ticket products which have proved popular, Newbury Racecourse’s Membership is also growing, with 2025’s Membership set to be the largest on record with a record number of young racegoers joining for this year’s action.
Newbury Racecourse has introduced a series of new initiatives to continue to fuel this growth, all with the aim of making a day at the races as accessible and affordable as possible.
Not only are all tickets available for less in 2025 than they were in 2024, but those living close to the Racecourse will benefit from a suite of new offers. A pair of complimentary tickets to this week’s Flat season opener – Dubai Duty Free Spring Trials – on Friday 11th April and access to £10 tickets for a number of racedays across 2025 are available to all those residing in the postcode areas RG7, RG14, RG17, RG18, RG19, RG20, RG26. LOCAL’S TICKETS
Continuing the theme, the Racecourse’s complimentary ticket offering for racing staff has been extended in 2025 after 250 tickets were claimed last year. All those working within the horseracing industry can claim a complimentary ticket for themselves and a friend at six of Newbury’s racedays during 2025. Those eligible can request their complimentary via the button below.

Shaun Hinds, Chief Executive Officer at Newbury Racecourse, commented: “It has been fantastic to see the increased attendances across many of our racedays, particularly Coral Challow Hurdle Day and William Hill Super Saturday welcoming its biggest crowd since 2018. We are delighted to welcome so many racegoers to enjoy the racing experience here at Newbury.
“Attendances may be on the rise, but we are continually working to make our racing product as affordable and accessible as possible through introducing initiatives to engage with new
and existing audiences. Through the expansion of the racing staff offer and introduction of the residents offer, we hope to welcome both the racing and local communities to Newbury.”
