What’s On

Family Fun Zones
Alongside an exciting evening of racing, families can enjoy a variety of dedicated activity zones around the racecourse, packed with entertainment, interactive experiences and plenty of opportunities for children to get involved.

Arts & Crafts Zone
Get creative in our Stretch Tent, where children can enjoy a range of hands-on activities throughout the afternoon. From colouring and craft stations to face painting, there’s plenty to keep young imaginations entertained.

Get Into Racing Zone
We’re proud to be celebrating National Racehorse Week, with themed activities and giveaways designed to help families learn more about the horses at the heart of our sport. Whether you’re a lifelong racing fan or completely new to racing, it’s a great opportunity to discover more about life behind the scenes and the stars of the track.

Quiet Zone
For those looking for a calmer environment, our Quiet Zone provides a welcoming space away from the hustle and bustle of the event. Featuring sensory-friendly activities and a dedicated reading area, it’s the perfect place to relax and recharge throughout the day.

Sports Zone
From friendly competition to active play, the Sports Zone offers something for all ages. Take on cricket challenges with Berkshire Cricket, test your skills with soft archery, enjoy giant garden games and get involved in a variety of interactive activities designed to keep the whole family entertained.

Jockey Meet & Greets
Don’t miss the chance to meet some of racing’s stars. Families will have the opportunity to meet professional jockeys, take photos and collect autographs, making for a memorable experience for young racing fans. Jockey meet & greets will take place at 3:15pm outside the weighing room. 

Disco Zone
Get ready to sing, dance and have fun at our Disco Zone. With family-friendly dance sessions taking place throughout the afternoon, children can enjoy a fun party atmosphere alongside friends and family.

Disco Dance Party Session Times:
3:40pm – Ages 2-5
4:50pm – Ages 5+
5:25pm – Ages 5+
6pm – Ages 5+

Parents and guardians are welcome to join children under the age of five during the sessions, and are also invited to participate alongside younger children in the 5+ sessions.
With so much happening away from the track, there’s plenty for families to enjoy throughout the afternoon and evening, making it the perfect summer day out for racegoers of all ages.

Your Tickets

Your ticket(s) should have arrived via email.
Your pupil tickets, complimentary adult tickets, and any additional £10 tickets purchased will have been sent in separate emails from tickets@newburyracecourse.co.uk.
Please note, tickets have been issued based on the pupil numbers submitted during your registration. Each registration includes one complimentary Under 18 ticket and up to two complimentary adult tickets per pupil.
If you have additional pupils to register – to in turn unlock more complimentary adult tickets – you can do so below.

If you haven’t received your tickets, please check your junk folder or contact us via info@newburyracecourse.co.uk or 01635 019789 and we’ll be able to resend your tickets for you.

Under 18s

Any racegoers under the age of 18 will need to be accompanied by a responsible adult (aged 21 or over, or their parent) to enter the Racecourse, with a maximum of three Under 18s with any one adult.
Once on-site at the Racecourse, those aged 15 or under will need to be accompanied by their responsible adult at all times.

Food & Drink

We know food and drink are a big part of a family day out, so you’ll find a wide range of food and drink options available across the Racecourse to suit all tastes and appetites.
Alongside our usual children’s menu options, we’ll also be offering special children’s lunch bags for just £5.50, providing a convenient and great-value choice for younger racegoers.

Please note that food and drink cannot be brought into the Racecourse, with the exception of essential items such as baby food and medically required refreshments. With plenty of food and drink outlets available on site, you should have everything you need for a fantastic day out.

Dietary Requirements
We’re pleased to offer a range of dietary-friendly food options across the Racecourse, including choices suitable for vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free diets.
If you have any specific dietary requirements or allergies, please speak to a member of the catering team on the day, who will be happy to assist.

Vegan Offering
The Racecourse’s three coffee yards – on the ground and first floors of the Berkshire Stand – offer a number of hot and cold vegan options.

Gluten Free Offering
The Butchers’ Block (ground floor of Berkshire), The Paddock Kitchen (first floor of Berkshire), Piglets Pantry (first floor of Hampshire) and the 1905 (first floor of the Hampshire) all offer menus which can be tailored to create gluten free options.

Dairy Free Offering
Oat, almond and soya milk are available across the Racecourse.

Dress Code

Newbury Racecourse wants all racegoers to feel comfortable during their visit – we just ask that any denim isn’t ripped and football/sports team shirts and vests are not worn.

Under 12s
Please note, no dress code applies to Under 12s in any of Newbury Racecourse’s spaces.

Getting Here & Travel

By Rail
Newbury Racecourse has its own train station, which is just one stop from Newbury Station with regular connections from major stations across the region.
Once arriving at Newbury Racecourse station it’s simply a case of making the short walk (1-2 minutes) to the Racecourse.

By Road
The Racecourse is also easily accessible by road, with free on-site parking.
Those travelling by road from the east, west and north via the M4 should enter site via Hambridge Road (nearest postcode RG14 7PN), while those travelling from the south via the A339 should enter the course via Racecourse Road (nearest postcode RG14 7GL).
If travelling by road, please follow traffic marshal directions when arriving, who will be on hand to direct you to the appropriate car parks.

PLAN YOUR JOURNEY

Car Parking

All on-site parking at Newbury Racecourse is free with Car Parks 4 & 5 open for our Schools’ Celebration Raceday.
Please follow our stewarding team’s instructions when arriving to park.
Car parks open at 2pm, while vehicles can be left on-site overnight.
A coach park – for minibuses and coaches – is also available and staff will be on hand to direct appropriate vehicles to this car park.
Please note, if you require wheelchair access we advise parking in Car Park 4 and entering via the East Entrance.

Free Wi-Fi & App

Newbury Racecourse offer all racegoers the use of a free Wi-Fi service.
When on-site simply select ‘FREE WIFI’ and create an account to start using the free service.

If you’re thinking of having a bet while you’re with us then you’ll be able to get all the insight and latest form within our Racecard.
These are available to purchase from sellers on the East Entrance and at the designated Racecard booths and are priced at £4.

Other Important Information

Cashless Site
Please note, Newbury Racecourse is a cashless site. Only the on-site bookmakers and the Tote will accept cash. Cash machines can be found on-site.

Under 18s

Challenge 25
Please note, Newbury Racecourse operates a ‘Challenge 25’ policy for alcohol purchase and consumption. Anyone lucky enough to look under 25, will need to show ID at either the East Entrance or at the Berkshire Stand Reception, where a ‘Challenge 25′ wristband will be issued.

Drugs Detection Dogs
Newbury Racecourse operate a zero-tolerance policy on anti-social behaviour and on the use of drugs. Drugs detection dogs will be on-site and on all entrances.

Ticket Touts
Please do not buy or sell from unauthorised ticket touts as we cannot guarantee tickets purchased in this manner will be valid for entry.

Security Checks and Searches
Bags may be searched upon entry and re-entry, we therefore ask racegoers to consider keeping bags and possessions to a minimum. Wand searches and or pat downs may also be carried out.

First Aid
A First Aid point is available adjacent to the East Entrance.
