Newbury Racecourse Launches Inaugural Charity Golf Day To Support Racing Welfare And The Lord’s Taverners
Newbury Racecourse has announced the launch of its inaugural Charity Golf Day, taking place on Thursday 4 June 2026 at the nearby Newbury & Crookham Golf Club. Delivered in partnership with Cirka, the event will raise vital funds for Racing Welfare and The Lord’s Taverners.
Newbury & Crookham Golf Club offers a scenic and memorable setting for the day, with the 17th tee providing an impressive vantage point overlooking Newbury Racecourse itself.
The day will bring together members of the local business community, racing supporters and sports enthusiasts for a full day of golf, fundraising activities, hospitality and networking.
Participants will begin the morning with tea, coffee and a bacon roll on arrival before heading out for 18 holes of golf in the shotgun-start tournament. Throughout the round, players will have the chance to take part in longest-drive and closest-to-the-pin competitions, adding an extra element of friendly rivalry.
After play concludes, guests will return to the clubhouse for a two-course BBQ buffet and networking reception, where prizes will be presented. The afternoon will also feature a raffle and charity auction, alongside special appearances from invited sports personalities.
