Live Music Line-Up Announced For Dubai Duty Free Spring Trials Weekend
Newbury Racecourse is set to come alive with the sound of live music as it welcomes back its much-loved Craft Beer Festival during the 2026 Dubai Duty Free Spring Trials Weekend on Friday 17 and Saturday 18 April.
With a vibrant programme of acoustic performances woven throughout both race days, plus high-energy after-parties each evening, the weekend promises a festival atmosphere both on and off the track as Newbury kicks off a huge summer of Flat racing.
Across the two days, racegoers can enjoy a diverse line-up of talented performers delivering everything from laid-back acoustic sessions to upbeat crowd favourites. Highlights include sets from singer-songwriter Sion Whiley, acoustic duo Dream Without Waking, crowd-pleasing performers The Errant Hearts, and local favourite Ronan Hatfull, alongside Lizzie Cullen’s blend of country, pop and rock-inspired covers. Rising Berkshire artist Molly Brown will also take to the stage on Saturday with her stunning piano-led performances.
Music continues beyond the final race each day, with DJ Moonraker bringing Friday evening to a close, while Saturday’s celebrations culminate in a headline performance from popular party band The Shadow Monkeys.
The two-day fixture combines this extensive live music offering with top-class racing. Saturday’s card features three Group 3 contests: the Dubai Duty Free Finest Surprise Stakes (The John Porter Stakes), the Dubai Duty Free Stakes (The Fred Darling Stakes), and the Watership Down Stud Too Darn Hot Greenham Stakes.
Alongside the entertainment, the Craft Beer Festival returns with more than 30 ales and ciders from a range of local breweries, giving racegoers the chance to sample a wide selection of drinks while enjoying the racing and live performances. One ticket provides access to both the racing and the festival, offering a full day experience.
Other activations include a ‘spin the wheel’ game and competitions in the Dubai Duty Free marquee, offering visitors the chance to enter into prize draws and giveaways.
Enhancing the raceday offering further, former jockey Daryl Jacob will host complimentary behind-the-scenes experiences on Friday, including parade ring tours, trips to the start and jockey talks. On Saturday, David Crosse will be on hand to deliver the same insider access for visitors.
As part of the racecourse’s ongoing partnership with Greatwood, racegoers on Saturday will also have the opportunity to meet retired racehorse Mahlervous and learn more about the charity’s work supporting disadvantaged children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Combining live music, top-class racing and craft drinks, the Dubai Duty Free Spring Trials Weekend promises an unforgettable start to the 2026 Flat season at Newbury.
