2025 Attendance Increases By 24%

Under 18 Attendance Soars By 120% As Newbury Racecourse Enjoys Impressive Growth In 2025 And A Fast Start To 2025

Record crowds, growing Membership and strong early demand point to another memorable year at the Berkshire track

Newbury Racecourse is celebrating a standout year after 2025 saw annual attendance swell by 24%, fuelled by a 120% increase in Under 18 attendance and strong demand across both the Flat and Jumps racing seasons.

Attendance growth was recorded across the board, with Flat fixtures up 30% year-on-year and Jumps racing attracting a 13% uplift, underlining the broad appeal of Newbury’s programme. The surge in younger racegoers proved a defining feature of the year, highlighting the Racecourse’s continued commitment to attracting new audiences and making racing accessible for all generations.

Investment in the Racecourse’s Membership offering has also delivered significant returns, with Member attendance rising by 35% compared to 2024.

The year culminated in memorable fashion in December, with the Coral Challow Hurdle Day attracting the raceday’s second largest crowd in 35 years. The fixture also welcomed the highest number of Under 18s ever recorded at Newbury, perfectly encapsulating a year of growth and renewed energy at the Berkshire track.

That momentum has carried into 2026 with the Racecourse shaping up for another landmark year, with four music racedays confirmed and the first two headline artists already announced. Fans’ appetite for racing at Newbury shows no sign of slowing, with a record number of racegoers securing their tickets earlier than ever before for 2026’s action. Demand during the Racecourse’s Super Early Bird window was up 31% year-on-year, as fans took advantage of significant savings for booking early.
