Newbury Racecourse Increased Attendance Super Saturday William Hill

William Hill Super Saturday Welcomes Biggest Crowd Since 2018

Newbury's first Premier Raceday of 2025 welcomes an increased crowd as Joyeuse takes the spoils in the William Hill Hurdle

Newbury Racecourse are pleased to report that 2025’s William Hill Super Saturday welcomed its largest crowd since 2018.

The day’s feature race, Britain’s richest handicap hurdle, the £155,000 William Hill Hurdle was won impressively by Joyeuse for Nicky Henderson’s Seven Barrows.

Today’s attendance marks a 14% year-on-year increase on 2024 and continues the trend of attendance growth at the Racecourse with November’s Coral Gold Cup and December’s Coral Challow Hurdle also welcoming increased crowds.

Tickets and hospitality experiences are on-sale for all of 2025’s action with racegoers encouraged to get in sooner rather than later to guarantee the best deal for next year’s racing.
