COVID-19 IMPORTANT INFORMATION

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ALL ATTENDEES ON WEDNESDAY 19 JANUARY

PLEASE NOTE: As this race meeting is under the 4,000 capacity, attendees will not be required to show proof of a COVID Vaccination passport or negative LFT, but we kindly ask you not to travel to the racecourse if you feel unwell prior to your departure.

Detailed information regarding the arrival process and how to obtain official COVID certification will be emailed to all ticket/badge holders for specific meetings.

Your safety and the safety of all our staff and participants is our priority so we kindly ask you to remember:

  • Do not come racing if you have any symptoms of COVID-19.
  • Do not come racing if you have tested positive for Covid-19.
  • Wash or sanitise your hands as frequently as you can, following the handwashing guidance and make use of the hand sanitiser stations around the racecourse
  • Wearing a mask indoors is now mandatory for ALL racecourse attendees including racegoers, hospitality and dining customers, Owners and Trainers, Members, Raceday Officials and Staff unless you are exempt
  • Observe social distancing protocols where possible
  • If you are travelling to the racecourse via public transport, please ensure you adhere to the relevant guidance.
  • Familiarise yourself with your entry point and location of amenities within the racecourse.
  • Please be aware that we are a cashless site, but on-course bookmakers/pool betting operators will accept cash.
  • Enjoy the vast amounts of space around the racecourse and avoid congregating in busy areas (for example, along the rail or by the Winning Post).
  • Follow all signage and the instructions of staff, officials or any emergency service personnel present at the racecourse.
  • Do not try to access areas of the racecourse apart the area detailed on your ticket.
  • Make sure other members of your group have read and understood these guidelines.

BADGE ALLOCATION

An allocation of six badges per single owner, and 10 per syndicate are available for each horse declared to run.  Badges can be requested via your PASS online login and must be submitted by 4pm the day before racing. To help you, the RCA has created a simple 6-step guide for owners covering the basic operation of the PASS system. This can be downloaded here.

Coming Racing…

  • Owners on course will have direct access to the Owners Club and terrace lawns, adjacent to the pre-parade and parade ring so that you can see your horse.
  • Access to the Pre-parade, Parade rings and Winners Enclosure is available for owners with runners.
  • Lunch will be in the Owners Club restaurant. We advise booking in advance by calling 01635 39658 or emailing [email protected]
  • Winning mementos have kindly been provided by our sponsor for every race, and there will be formal presentations from the Winners Enclosure. Winning mementos will be available to collect on the day or will be sent following the meeting.
  • A complimentary racecard will be available on arrival.

CAR PARKING – free of charge and labels are not required.

ENTRANCE – All Owners should make their way to the Owners Club reception and will receive a badge which must be worn at all times during the afternoon.

DRESS CODE – Premier Enclosure- smart casual- smart jeans are permitted, collared shirt, no sportswear, or ripped or torn jeans

FACILITIES

The Owners Club is located close to the pre-parade ring next to the owners and trainers entrance. This is exclusively reserved for owners, with a private terrace, and offers hospitality for owners with runners.

WINNING CONNECTIONS

There will be the chance for all winning owners present to watch replay of their race in our winning connections box. A member of Newbury Racecourse staff will assist with this.

For trophy collections on a raceday, please alert a member of racecourse staff before the last race and we will be able to advise you of our procedure for perpetual trophies, nevertheless please feel free to contact Sponsorship Manager, Lara Johnston on 01635 40015 for any queries regarding trophies.
