Travel update: Friday 20 and Saturday 21 July 2018

Please be aware that due to ongoing engineering works taking place on the Newbury line, there will be no trains operating between Theale and Bedwyn on either Friday 20 or Saturday 21 July 2018.

Rail replacement buses will be in operation to serve intermediate stations, and regular buses will be available at Reading Station from 11.00 to run directly to Newbury Racecourse. A half hourly service will be available from 11.15 to 12.45. Passengers heading to the races are advised to change at Reading for direct fast buses to Newbury Racecourse and should allow additional travel time when planning their journey.

For the return journey from Newbury Racecourse, buses will be available from 16.30 until 20.00 for a similar half hour service direct to Reading. Customers for intermediate stations or for stations to Bedwyn should use the scheduled rail replacement services and those travelling towards Bedwyn should note that the buses will depart from Newbury Station (town centre).
