NEWBURY RACECOURSE ANNOUNCE EXCITING PARTNERSHIP WITH BERKSHIRE BASED

RENEGADE BREWERY FOR OKTOBERFEST

Newbury Racecourse today announce a new partnership with the recently rebranded Renegade Brewery, formerly West Berkshire Brewery for their Oktoberfest themed raceday on Friday 21 for BetVictor Afternoon racing and Saturday 22 October as part of VirginBet Flat Finale.

Renegade Brewery is the re-brand of well-known West Berkshire Brewery who have been a local favourite in Berkshire since first opening their doors in 1995. Renegade Brewery will be the brewing partner for the two days, offering up their signature ales, lagers and new craft beers from the Crafty Filly in the Premier Enclosure as well as a pop-up bar in the Grandstand Enclosure and part of the Oktoberfest themed event.

Customers will recognise popular ales being served such as Good Old Boy and be able to try their newer brands such as Queensbury Jack IPA and Renegade Master. The team will be sampling across both days each so racegoers can get a flavour for their favourite brew.

As well as sponsoring the Renegade Brewery Nursery Handicap Stakes on Saturday 22 October, the brewery will also sponsor the Oktoberfest themed games. Racegoers can look forward to some brilliant prizes for Best Dressed Lederhosen, Fastest Pretzel Eating, Oktoberfest Bucking Beers and the traditional Stein holding competition which will take place throughout the afternoon on the Saturday only and between the seven races on the card.

Ian Rogers from Renegade Brewery said: “Since re-launching West Berkshire to Renegade, we’ve had a brilliant response and we are really looking forward to introducing the new brand to our local racecourse with this new partnership. Beer & merriment has played an integral part of Oktoberfest since its conception back in the early 19th century so we couldn’t think of a more appropriate way to shout about the new brand.

“Newbury Racecourse is not far from our Brewery & TapRoom and we are keen to continue to serve our loyal local community who helped us get to where we are today as we embark on our new beginning ”.

Lara Johnston from Newbury Racecourse said: “We are delighted to be embarking on this exciting partnership with Renegade Brewery. Our inaugural themed Oktoberfest raceday was really popular last year, so we are delighted to be bringing it back for a second year and building the offering for our customers with strong partnerships such as this. We look forward to working with the team at Renegade to deliver a fantastic Bavarian themed event as the curtain comes down on another fantastic Flat season here at Newbury.”

Tickets are still available to purchase at the early-bird prices which includes access to the Oktoberfest experience which will be held within the Grandstand Enclosure on both Friday 21 October and Saturday 22 October. Visit newburyracecourse.co.uk
