Newbury Racecourse is an award-winning sporting venue with a multi-functional site playing host to c. 30 racedays per year, plus a wide range of other exciting non-racing events including: concerts, weddings, conferences, on-site hotel and our award-winning Rocking Horse Nursery.

We have a new and exciting opportunity for a Graphic Designer to join our friendly team. The successful candidate will create engaging design content for Newbury Racecourse and its constituent business units including The Lodge, Rocking Horse Nursery, Conference & Events.

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the role will include:

• Designing, adapting and amending Newbury Racecourse’s print and digital output
• Creating new designs and creative themes from scratch where required
• Acting as the guardian of the Racecourse’s brand guidelines and developing and supplementing guidelines where necessary
• Liaising with print agencies to obtain quotes for production of printed materials and overseeing the completion and successful delivery of production jobs
• Ensuring all jobs are formally briefed in, worked on and signed-off in line with the Racecourse’s design process
• Overseeing the creation and sign-off of Newbury’s printed raceday programmes
• Work closely and collaboratively with Newbury Racecourse’s retained agencies – i.e. Digital, CRM/Insight – to ensure outputted designs are optimised for all platforms

You will be able to demonstrate:

• Knowledge and effective use of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
• Experience and knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects desirable
• Creative with a keen eye for detail
• Excellent organisational and administrative skills
• A positive, proactive attitude
• Motivation and enthusiasm, for both the position and the Racecourse
