His second entry, Our Power, gave the team a memorable win in the Coral Trophy earlier this year.
Corach Rambler was 4th in the 2022 Coral Gold Cup. He later went on to win the 2023 Grand National.
Clerk of the Course at Newbury Racecourse, George Hill commented:
“The Coral Gold Cup is the highlight of our National Hunt calendar here at Newbury. I am delighted to see such a strong field of entries including not only previous winners of the race but multiple Cheltenham Festival winners, a King George VI Chase winner and of course the most recent winner of the Grand National. We are very much looking forward to what is set to be a thrilling renewal based off current entries.”
Coral’s David Stevens commented:
“There is a suitably high-class initial entry for this year’s Coral Gold Cup, with the market headed by Monbeg Genius, whose third place finish at the Cheltenham Festival looks even better following a Grand National triumph for the winner, Corach Rambler, and a Punchestown Gold Cup success for the runner-up, Fastorslow.”
