Big Fella Thanks goes for second win in the Greatwood Gold Cup

Big Fella Thanks will carry top weight in the StanJames Supporting Greatwood Gold Cup on Saturday.

The 11-year-old won the race in 2010 when trained by Paul Nicholls and now in the care of Tom George, he registered his first success since then last time out at Wincanton.

Nicholls runs two in a race he has won five times since 2006.

Pacha Du Polder, who has been disappointing so far this season, and the Graham Wylie-owned The Knoxs.

Donald McCain’s Grand National winner Ballabriggs continues his build up for a return to Aintree, while Venetia Williams will saddle Pepite Rose as the trainer looks to continue her excellent recent run of form.

Alan King will be represented by Midnight Sail, a winner at Kempton last week, while Philip Hobbs runs Tony Star.

Mahogany Blaze and Micheal Flips are also amongst the field of 13.
