Please read these notes thoroughly before making your application. Newbury Racecourse reserves the right to refuse accreditation. Each application will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Requests for accreditation will only be considered if made via e-mail to [email protected]. Applications made by phone, fax or mail will not be accepted.

For all meetings, applications for accreditation will only be considered if made at least two days prior to the raceday for which you are applying.

The main media facility is located on the fifth floor of the Berkshire Stand. Media facilities are only to be used when working – family and associates are not permitted to enter the press room at any time.

All members of the media are expected to act and dress appropriately. Should anyone who has been accredited be deemed to be acting in a manner which is inappropriate, Newbury Racecourse reserves the right to permanently rescind accreditation for individuals and their organisation and/or report any incidents  to the Racecourse Association.

All press accreditation is strictly non-transferrable and abuse of this will result in accreditation being rescinded permanently.

Newbury Racecourse reserves the right to alter the terms and conditions of entry to racecourses for press badge holders from time to time having given prior notice.

Ultimate discretion for the awarding of media accreditation remains with Newbury Racecourse at all times.

PRESS

Anyone who is not a the holder of an RCA annual press badge will have to supply an editor’s letter of support, on headed paper, in order for their accreditation request to be considered, along with examples of previous coverage of racing or other major sporting events.

Only websites that are associated with recognised newspapers, news agencies and major racing publications will usually be considered for accreditation. Applications which request accreditation to provide updates for social media will not be considered.

PHOTOGRAPHERS

Applications from freelance photographers who are not RCA accredited must be supported by a recognised newspaper, agency or major racing publication.

All photographers must hold third party liability insurance of a minimum of £1 million and must provide evidence of such insurance. All photographers who are provided with on-course access and are not RCA accredited will have to sign and return the Rules of Photography before accreditation will be considered. TV STATIONS

Racing UK is the exclusive rights holder at Newbury Racecourse. All TV crews wishing to film at Newbury, whether live, as live or pre-recorded need to contact [email protected] in the first instance to discuss media rights. Following this, applications for accreditation may be made.

RADIO STATIONS

All radio crews wishing to broadcast at Newbury whether live, as live or pre-recorded need to contact [email protected] to discuss media rights. Following this, applications for accreditation may be made.
