You can feel the anticipation in the air on the second day of the bet365 Festival which features the 60th running of the Hennessy Gold Cup as well as the bet365 Long Distance Hurdle – a feast of top class Jump racing and a wonderful social occasion when racegoers dress up in their winter finery.
Run over 3 miles and 2½ furlongs, the £200,00 Hennessy Gold Cup is one of racing’s biggest tests for horse and jockey, won by many of racing’s best loved stars including Mandarin, Arkle and Denman.
